Congratulations to WorBro Norm Anderton MBE OAM PJGD of Broadwater Surfers Paradise Lodge and a Freemason for 60 years, on receiving the Order of Australia Medal in the 2012 Queens Birthday Honours list to add to a previous MBE . A veteran of the Thai-Burma Railway in WW2, Norm received the OAM for his 66 years service to veterans and their widows through the Ex-Prisoners of War Association on the Gold Coast. He has also been actively involved with Legacy, RSL, Meals on Wheels,the Anglican Church and grew a Mo (and raised $900) for the Freemasons Queensland Team for Movember last year. He is 91.
